Strolling with a Segway

Filed under: Just For Moms, Places To Go, Health & Safety: Babies, Baby Essentials

I came across this photo and I'm not sure what to make of it. At first, I started laughing. Then I felt like I should be crying. Now, I'm just confused. On the one hand, anyone with a Segway, the two-wheeled personal conveyance developed by Dean Kamen, is automatically cool. On the other hand, one could make the argument that this simply shows the excessive laziness that has led to the epidemic of American obesity.

On the other hand, (and I'm running out of hands, here,) it seems to me like this might not be the safest idea around. But, maybe she's just trying to get to work in an environmentally friendly way and has to drop off the kid at daycare on the way? Take a look and let me know what you think. 'Cause, if this is okay, I'm totally gettin' me a Segway!
