Product Recall: Personalized infant long johns

Filed under: Babies, Toddlers Preschoolers, Health & Safety: Babies, Baby Essentials

These little baby long johns are adorable, but apparently they are also unsafe. The Consumer Product Safety Commission and Personal Creations have announced a recall of Red Baby Long Johns due to a choking hazard. There have been 10 reports of the metal snaps coming off and while no injuries have been reported, the risk is there.

About 5,500 of these red long johns were sold for about $22 through the Personal Creations catalog between September 2006 and January 2007.

The recall includes sizes 6, 12, 18 and 24 months with the embroidery stitching across the back flap.

Consumers are advised to stop using the long johns immediately and contact Personal Creations for information on receiving a refund or replacement. You can reach them at (888) 627-3283 between 7 a.m. and 11 p.m. CT Monday through Friday, or between 8 a.m. and 9 p.m. CT Saturday and Sunday. You can also contact them through their Web site.
