Hannah Montana gets her own fashion line

Wal-Mart is looking to make some more money in the apparel department and Disney is stepping up. Disney Consumer Products has announced a new collection of clothing, accessories, home decor and even electric guitars inspired by Disney Channel's Hannah Montana character. Miley Cyrus, who plays Hannah on the show, had a hand in creating the line, which aims to be trendy but not sexy.

Miley is fourteen and the new line includes what sounds like age-appropriate clothing: a denim jumper with rhinestones, Bermuda shorts, blinged-out cargo-pocket capris and even a sundress.

"It's not a costume. A tween girl isn't doing dress up, they want to look like they could be Hannah Montana's friend," said Donna Sheridan, vice president and general manager of apparel, footwear and accessories for Disney Consumer Products. "This is a fashion line."

Disney expects sales to tweens to hit $400 million this year. Besides Hannah Montana, they are hoping to lure kids - and their parents - with products based on other hits like High School Musical and That's So Raven.

Ellie is going to be all over this.
