How to build an underwater camcorder

Underwater Camcorder Mod! $10! - video powered by Metacafe

In Texas the summers are hot, so we spend a lot of time at the pool. It's been a blast watching my daughter take to the water, and start learning how to swim. The one drawback to all the time we spend splashing around, is that it makes shooting videos incredibly difficult -- mostly because I'm worried about my camera getting wet. Where as normally I'm obsessive about making home videos (especially when it comes to my kid), I don't think I have any shots of her in the water.

That said, I can't bring myself to shell out hundreds (or thousands) of dollars for a waterproof camera. So what's a parent to do?

DIY's Kipkay comes to rescue, with this handy video on how you can make your own waterproof casing for your video camera. Not only would this be a fun project, but it'll save you some serious cash. Awesome!
