What a child packs

Filed under: Big Kids, Places To Go, Development/Milestones: Babies, Toys, That's Entertainment

I almost forgot about this. Two weeks ago, we were packing for our family vacation and I asked Jared to pick some toys to bring along. He grabbed a contico (big plastic storage boxes with interlocking lids) and started filling it. When he was done, I took a look and made a list of what he had picked. I thought y'all might interested in seeing what a five-year-old packs for a week in Calistoga:

  • 1 Baby Doll (sans clothes)
  • 1 Stuffed Stegosaurus
  • 11 Books, including My Truck is Stuck
  • 3 pieces from a contruction set, including a wrecking ball that makes crashing sounds if you even look at it.
  • Stuffed Mickey Mouse
  • Stuffed Minnie Mouse
  • Stuffed Jesse (from Toy Story 2)
  • His Camera
  • A pair of plastic binoculars

So there you go. Now you know what you need to pack.

Update: My apologies to all... I did indeed already post this. See what happens when you have kids? Your brain turns to complete mush. Sorry!
