TV is good for kids!

I know, making fun of old advertisements is a little like shooting fish in a barrel. However, given all the recent studies about television's negative impact on the ability of children to learn and focus (nevermind that watching it makes them fat), I enjoy the irony of this particular ad from Motorola.
"Better behavior at home and better marks in school" -- all thanks to your TV!
Ha. If only it was that easy.

Belinda said...Actually two year old seems to learn more from sesame street then we can teach her. When she turned on we started teaching her about the potty, by 18 months NOTHING, not even SAYING peepee, poopoo, or potty. So I baught her an Elmo DVD about potty training. She watched it for two nights for thirty minutes before bed, and suddenly the potty was ALL she can talk about!!! Now at again two she is finally interested and fully potty trained, AT HOME only though, she is scared of the big potties so she still wears a diaper when we go out.
