"The Coreys" to whom I am referring are none other than 80's teen icon team Corey Haim and Corey Feldman. Not sure why I put Haim first, but if memory serves that's how it was back in the day. My day. Their day. Your day too. See. just because we have kids and stuff doesn't mean we've totally turned into shells of our former selves.
Admit it. You saw License to Drive. I'll let you know right now I own a copy of The Lost Boys. I was more interested in Jason Patric at the time but, hey, upon recent viewing, the Coreys really add a little something to an otherwise too hip movie about vampires. And let's not forget Dream a Little Dream.
And now, after unusual weight gain and loss (Haim) and unusual relationships with Michael Jackson (Feldman) the two are together again! At last, you say, but where??? The answer is on A&E. That's right. The two are starring in their own reality series called, appropriately enough, "The Two Coreys."
The two move in together, and, well, you know--chaos ensues. Or something like that.
Now, don't act like you're not going to watch, because I know you are. I'm going to watch too, because I just can't help myself. And I don't want to. No, I'm going to invite over all my friends and we're going to watch it and wax nostalgic together.
Call me nostalgic, call me hopelessly trapped in the 80's, call me what you will. I am so totally going to be there. Now if they could just drum up Meredith Salenger....

nicolebarber said...I watched last nights episode out of curiosity, not bad Haim is still annoying and poor Susie, I think she was worried about not getting enough camera time. I felt bad When Feldman had to explain to Haim the W.b is already making a lost boys and his not in it.
Also Haim reminded me of that awful house guest you want to kick in the ass. Ice cream left on the bed and whining about vegan food ungrateful twit(a).

Lacy said...Oooohhhh.....Jason Patric. I forgot about him. He was SO hot. I remember watching Lost Boys at all the slumber parties once it came out on VHS. Partly because it was scary, partly because the "little" Corey (Haim) was our age and cute, and again......we all LOVED Jason. Time to set up the Tivo for the Corey's!

Kelly said...Thank you! I think that you just added a little something to my life. I remember getting my hair cut short after seeing Goonies and carrying around a brush just like "Mouth" (Feldman). I went emulating him to wanting to date him after a few years. Oh and Meredith Salenger! She was my favorite actress back then for about two weeks.
