Woman literally falls head over heels after engagement
Categories: Places To Go
Some proposals are so moving that the earth moves and life changes forever. For Sharon Parry this is exactly the case. When her boyfriend recently took her for a hike and then got down on his knees to ask for her hand in marriage, she said yes and then proceed to fall over and crack open her head. After being fetched by a mountain rescue team, Parry spent the night in a hospital with a row full of stitches in her aching head. Parry says she had no idea her now fiance, Andy Laurence, was planning to pop the all too important question to her when the couple and Parry's 7 year-old daughter from a previous marriage set out for their nature outing. Perry's daughter caught the whole romantic sequence on tape, which should make for good viewing once the family has celebrated the wedding and wants to experience the excitement all over again.

My brother and sister-in-law are Scuba Divers. When he proposed to her, they were on the bottom of the ocean. He pulled the ring out of his vest pocket and presented it to her, kneeling on the floor of the sea. Having the warped sense of humor that she does, she wrote on her board, "We'll see how the dive goes"
They've been married for over 20 years.

My husband had a friend who was a musician. He had the friend come to our house to give a concert. In front of about 20 of our friends my husband, (then boyfriend), sang a song that he wrote that ended with him asking me to marry him. It was pretty cool!

My DH also proposed on a nature trail hike in Whistler, BC. While I didn't fall over and crack my head open, he did have to call me to attention several times as I ambled along the trail staring at my new engagement ring instead of where I was going!
