Duggars welcome baby #17
Filed under: Your Pregnancy, Celeb Parents, Media, That's Entertainment
Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar, who became household names after being featured in TLC's documentary show about their family, became the proud parents of baby number seventeen, Jennifer Danielle, earlier today. Without accounting for early or late deliveries (baby Jennifer was 5 days overdue) Michelle has now been pregnant for 12 years and 8 months of her life.
Baby Jennifer weighed in at 8 lbs 8 ozs. and will be welcomed home by siblings, Joshua, 19, twins John David and Janna, 17, Jill, 16, Jessa, 14, Jinger, 13, Joseph, 12, Josiah, 11, Joy-Anna, 9, twins Jedidiah and Jeremiah, 8, Jason 7, James 6, Justin, 4, Jackson, 3, and Johannah, almost 2.
I have four kids and there really does come a point when adding to the family doesn't seem that huge of an ordeal. What I find more amazing than the size of the family is that they've gone this long without a Jennifer in the bunch.
Congratulations, Duggar clan!

Uly said...I don't mind the alliteration, but I think spelling Ginger to fit the pattern is horrific. They'd be better off with Jennifer!
Not that it's my business how many kids they have, how they raise them, or what names they give to them once they've had them.

Do you even know the Duggars??? If you have seen any of their tv specials you would see that they really are an incredible family! They are raising their children to be amazing members of our society. Every one of those children is well behaved and educated... Shame on you for making a snap judgement about a family you don't even know. What are you teaching your children, I wonder....

Crystal said...I'm sorry...When exactly did it become our job to judge the Duggars? Every child is a gift, miracle and blessing. No matter if you have one or 30. I dont necessarily agree with all of their views. But, from what I can tell they are doing a remarkable job raising a large family. They use faith, love, patience and team work. It works for them. It wouldnt work for me, but it works for them.
They must be doing something right. When was the last time you heard about a Duggar child getting in trouble with the law?? Any DUIs?? Any drug possessions? How about driving the wrong way on a freeway? Yeah, I didnt think so.
Leave this family alone. If you dont have nice wishes and blessings to send them, keep your words to yourself.

Lacy said...Okay, have a gazillion kids....but why the horribly bad hair on Mom and all the girls? Why the Jumper dresses? How come the girls can't wear a pair of shorts once in awhile?
These people obviously fancy themselves the "Shining Stars of Christianity," but really - I imagine God in shaking his head saying: "Seriously you guys....you totally misinterpreted what I was saying....chart your cycle already! And also, I don't have any problem with todays hairstyles! Feel free to jump into the current trends!"

Whatever floats their boat I guess.
But truthfully. I find their over breeding rather repulsive.
And. People are going to judge when you put yourself out there in the media. Part of human nature.
dont want to hear peoples thoughts and opinions of how you run your life? Stay off the TV networks. Or better yet. Stop BREEDING!! Giving birth must be a breeze for this poor woman by this point. sheesh

Michele said...Regardless of the quality of their children, which I don't intend to judge (I'm sure they are lovely people), I personally disagree with having that amount of children. I find it irresponsible, not only for the family themselves (I seriously doubt that two people can fully give PERSONAL attention to 17 children daily), but for our already overpopulated planet. Whenever I see reports on this family, I am reminded of being a child and constantly begging for a new puppy...even when we had 2 or 3 adult dogs.
