Image of the Day: sidewalk & girl

I recently went to the Chicago Art Institute, where I happily wandered through rooms filled with paintings created over the last several centuries. When I saw this photo, submitted by Liu MinMin, it reminded me of the perspective I saw in many of the paintings. Only here, we've got a sweet little girl with pigtails in the foreground. I love the way she's squatting down: I wonder what's going through her mind. Is she tired from walking all that way? Is she getting ready to blow a kiss to someone?

What an adorable little girl! I don't think she's tired ... instead, I think she's just charging up for another burst of energy. Very cute kid.
