4-Year-Old Spends Days Alone With Mother's Corpse
It was a foul odor coming from the apartment that alerted police to force open the chain-locked front door.
Once inside, Union police officers found a very malnourished and dehydrated 4-year-old boy in the living room, and the badly decomposing body of his mother on the floor of the bedroom.
Police believe the mother died of natural causes 4 to 6 days earlier. “(I'm) very sorry for this boy and the lady,” said one neighbor. “For this boy it's a tragedy.”

Indonesian Boy Smokes Two Packs a Day
Eight-year-old Adi Ilham has a serious addiction - smoking, more than two packs of cigarettes a day. The Indonesian boy started lighting up at the age of four and says that his parents are giving him money each day to buy cigarettes. Here, in an interview with a reporter, he specifies, 5,000 rupiah, that's around half a dollar. His mother Nenah says that Adi's addiction gradually got out of control. Simply forbidding doesn't work anymore.

2nd Annual MCA Day To Honor Late Beastie Boys Rapper Adam Yauch
