Fetus makes friends on Facebook
Categories: Pregnancy & Birth, Gadgets & Tech
One of the fun things about social networking sites like MySpace and Facebook is that you can invent profiles for imaginary characters, pets, or -- as was the case with this Australian couple -- people who aren't quite old enough to create a profile for themselves.
Because they have friends and family all over the world, Claire Gillis and Luke Waring thought they'd keep everyone updated on their pregnancy via a Facebook profile -- and, just to be fun, they created the profile from the perspective of their unborn child.
But, much to the couple's surprise, it turns out that a whole bunch of people they've never met would like to be friends with a fetus. According to Gillis, "I'm just receiving the most ridiculous number of e-mails and friend requests."
The pair plan to continue updating the Internet on the status of their fetus (from the fetus' perspective), but after a quick search, I can't seem to find the Facebook profile. If anyone manages to track it down, leave a link in the comments, and we can all befriend the world's most-famous baby-to-be.
