"My Daddy was working to change the world, so everyone would love wildlife like he did. Now it is our turn to help," she told Women's Wear Daily.
I imagine a line of children clothes with Bindi's name would involve lots of khaki - not exactly the height of fashion these days. But the designer, family friend Palmina DiStasi, says it will be more fashion forward than that. Her clothes have been available for years at the Australia Zoo, but will now get a makeover.
"Since the clothes were only sold at the zoo, the clothes were quite touristy," says DiStasi. "It's nice that now we can do a bit more with the line and since Bindi is older, she's done so much for it. We've even taken her own artwork and incorporated it into the designs, and she always tells us what she wants and doesn't want in the collection."
