Heidi Klum's skinny jeans fit because she played with the kids

Baby Johan isn't even a year old, but his momma has already busted out the skinny jeans. (If you read that and felt bad, please know that I'm still carrying baby weight and my baby will be starting kindergarten in a couple of weeks.)
Heidi Klum has returned to the cameras and is featured in the latest Jordache jeans ad campaign. The physically-flawless (and apparently stretch mark-free) mother of three, wearing the tight jeans and not much else, looks downright amazing but remains humble.
"There were 20, 30 people on set to take the pictures," she said of the photo shoots. "So I don't have to do that much. They all make me look good."
However, she's guilty of using that same lie nearly all celebrity moms trot out to make the rest of us wonder why we're still jiggly: that playing with the kids is how she got her flat abs and thin thighs back.
"I have three children. That keeps you busy all the time. I work and we do a lot of things that are active. We work in the garden. We jump on the trampoline. I just started playing tennis with my husband. We climb in the tree house with the children. We go to the park and feed the ducks. We are always mobile."
I'm fairly confident Heidi has a personal trainer (or two), a personal chef (or two), a gaggle of nannys, and many other hired people who do things that make her life easier. Why can't she and other famous moms give the rest of us a break and admit, "I exercised hard for five hours a day and ate only twigs and berries for months to get my body to look like this!" ?
Because I don't think feeding ducks or jumping on the trampoline would make my butt and arms look like that, but I'm certainly willing to give it a try.

I do think that I can attribute a lot of my weight loss to the fact that I play with my kids, hard and often. I use them to exercise a lot, they enjoy it and I get a work out. I eat small portions of food and I breastfed. however, like I said, some people are just lucky, my mom has three kids and not a single stretch mark and a fabulous body for a 55year old. I was diagnosed with a hyperactive thyroid right after the birth of baby #2 and so I told the countless thousands of women who looked at me with loathing and a fake smile asking me through clenched teeth how I lost all my baby weight, that it was my thyroid (however, my thyroid levels have been on the low end of the normal range for quite some time now) I'm sorry ladies! I promise I'm not doing it on purpose and I promise I don't think I'm better than you because I lost my baby weight! so stop hatin!

I am a naturally chubby mom struggling *HARD* to get to the point where I look cute in a tank top, which ought to be about 50 pounds from now, but it's true that we all have some good and some bad luck with looks, and it isn't cool to put each other down out of insecurity. Rock on sister, you go with your skinny self, and have fun looking great in jeans! :) And I'll make a point of appreciating my own lovely, bouncy DDs! :)

CLM said...It's weird that she said that, because after having her second child, she was very honest about all of the workouts and training she had to do to get ready in time for the Victoria's Secret runway show. She even participated in a tv show featuring one of her trainers. BTW - if you check out the footage from that show you will see that she, too, has some stretch marks.

I do eat well, very little junk and lots of veggies and I stay as active as I can. We are all different. I know I have many problems that other women don't have. If you look at Heidi, she has always been small, why wouldn't she stay roughly the same size?

With both children I lost the baby weight by the time they were 5 months. I work out as much as my schedule allows but even though I weigh less I still am more flabby then before. I think anyone given the TIME (having a nanny & PT) to work out and the drive (earning money based on appearence) could look as god as Heidi and the rest of these celebs! So don't be so hard on yourselves!
