Jenna Bush is engaged

President and Laura Bush have announced the engagement of their daughter, Jenna. The 25-year-old is marrying a man who will surely fit right in with the First Family. He's 28-year-old Henry Hager, a former White House aide who worked with Karl Rove. If that weren't enough to prove he is a good fit for the Bush family, the fact that he's the son of John Hager, chairman of the Virginia Republican Party, certainly is.
Henry is a student at the University of Virginia, where he is getting his master's degree in business. The couple have been dating for two years and according to press secretary Sally McDonough, have yet to set a date or place for the big day.
If they choose to marry while her father is still in office, perhaps they will make use of the Rose Garden. The last presidential daughter to marry in the White House was Tricia Nixon, when she wed Edward Cox in 1971.
Congratulations and best wishes to Jenna and Henry!

Jenna is 25, and responsible for her own behavior and life choices. Public interest in what is a private family matter is way out of bounds. If someone wants to judge President Bush, base your opinion on how he performs as the Country's Chief Executive. What happens in Jenna's life, should not reflect on the President's leadership.
