I think Oprah is out of whack no matter where she spends her money. She does for people in another country when there are millions here in need. Color is not a factor. Remember the old hymn Red and yellow, black or white they are precious in His sight. She needs to remember that. Leave some money for the animals but help the people first. I think the money has made her a little crazy.

No offense, anna, but if you need money so badly just to live, how is it that you have a computer and the internet? Come on, everybody, we don't know that any of this is true about Oprah. It just goes to show how gullible we are that we believe everything we read.

Better she leaves it to the dogs, then to the democrats. At least the dogs can be trained-No telling how much damage the liberals could do to our goverment with that much cash.
Since they are allowing people to marry same sex, can I propose to one of these pooches, for once I would have a leash on my spouse instead of the other way around

I realy can use some of your pocket changes!I've been Devorced since the year of 1995
And still remain single. I always have been a very hard worker with very lower hourly pay rate but that
is okay I am greatful for all of that I was doing
so well and trying to acomplish my goals will I have
sucseeded I'd boghte 2 small condos and have it for 2 years and the Droctor said I need to a sergory so I Did din't returned to woke 3 months latter I Din't
have health care covered and still don't I've lose my job can not make a pay to any one's 2 properties
went to foclosured but I'm still trying to find a job any job I just need at least 1 job to get my self going since month of April 2007 to present I don't fill very good about my self any more be cause
of all this rejected from all of this Employer's.
I will continue to watch the Opra show everry chance

Give me a break - Oprah can do anything she wants with her money. I recall she was worth 1.5 billion. This amounts to .02 of her fortune. That means Gates would leave his critters 1 billion 200 million. Which I doubt he will do. So, her dogs live a few years beyond her - they will not eat that much money up or take it to the grave with them. I am sure the trust has a means of disbursing the $ somewhere else after they die.

I think Oprah is a beautiful woman on the out side But beauty is after all skin deepI havent ever heard of someone leaving dogs 30 million dollars.I am 82and have allways tried to live a christian life and God has blessed me not with wealth I have never had to beg for food or help ,like wellfare etc.But I do have a hard time paying my bills somtimes but God provides one way or another.BUt I think God would Bless her more if she gave some of that money to People that really need it.all those dogs want is love.they dont Know or care if thy have money.

OPEN LETTER TO OPRAH: I have a request (suggestion) as to something productive you can do with your vast fortune: Establish a school for "intended marriage couples" and/or "intended parent-hood". Become instrumental in establishing a solid curriculum for each, .. and advertise it!! I ask you to think about it; we have a school for most everything else, but not a school for the most important journey of our lives, .... and, .... if anybody can make this "FLY", it is YOU!!! I predict, if it is "well established", it will change the course of this NATION, if not, ... the WORLD!!! ALSO, ... I think Oprah can do whatever the hell she wants with her money. Yes there are people out there who need money badly, but if my mom can raise two kids ON HER OWN and still make minimum wage and keep a roof over our head and keep us fed then ANYONE CAN!!!! I think people need to worry about themselves instead of others. Everyone on here is just mad because they do not have the money that Oprah does. And someone was mad because she was opening schools in Africa?? WHAT THE HELL?? Who says that we are better than them? We are all the same and I would help them too if I had the money because they deserve it and respect it more than anyone in the US would. Everyone is to money hungry..GET OVER IT & GET A JOB!!!

I think a person can do whatever they want with their money. If all people accepted the responsibility to take care of their own (children/pets, etc. instead of looking to others to do it for them we all would be better off. I would like to see Oprah leave some bucks to the "Best Friends Animal Sancturary" in Utah which takes and cares for all unfortuate and abandoned
animals.

I love animals, but my Lord, the dogs would be just fine if she died as her wealthy friends
(Gayle, etc.) would be more than happy to care for them.
WHERE did your COMMON SENSE go Oprah?
I know many will say it is her money and she can do with it as she pleases.
But,.........that is just my point.
Has anyone thought of how much that HUGE amount of money would help the poor, homeless
and Katrina victims?) she is showing everyone that animals are more important than people.
At this point, nothing shocks me anymore.
This world has gone to the dogs.

Those of you that applaud Oprah must own cuckoo birds! Dogs are property! They are not people!
She did a wonderful thing opening that school in Africa, it would have been wonderful too if she had left 30M to an animal shelter instead of her own animals. Once the dogs die, the money left over goes to the state. She has way too much money, she just gave Stedman, her boyfriend, or ex-boyfriend, 250M to keep quiet about their breakup!
Pretty sad when you think you can buy people off.

I feel that she earned it but it's us out here that supported her efforts from the start. She should be able to do what she wishes with her own money but it sure would be nice if she could help out senior widows who have lost their home due to economics...it's not so easy to work 2 and 3 jobs like i did when I was 20....

OK, Just. If you think Oprah should give the $30 million to the 47 million people who don't have health care, then they would each get a check for 64 cents. Of course, the cost of administering it, and legal fees, etc would eat into the principal. So they might end up getting 32 cents each. There will always be poor and needy people. That doesn't mean that we have to leave all our money to them. So she want to leave her pets well-cared for. It's her money and it's none of our business.

Realizing that it's her decision about her money is hers I sit in her Mississippi and watch the poverty that taxes can't touch. I see schools perform poorly, again because our bottom class citizens cannot support the tax base to give the schools the income to do what is necessary for the kids. And, it must not be overlooked that millions are diagnosed with illnesses that they simply cannot afford and end up dying. Many of us have drug bills that (without insurance) would run in excess of $2000----so we have to choose the absolute necessary. Oprah, I love you---I had the privilege of teaching in a little, tacky school in Attala Co. where the road across the street was Oprah Winfrey Road. It made me smile everyday to realize how successful you are and from where you came. Love your dogs, but please don't forget the people who are trying so hard and are still having a hard time....and would never ask for your help.
