A plea to my toddler - don't drop your morning nap!
My son has been a great sleeper, whether it be daily naps or overnight sleep. Sure, he might fuss for a couple minutes when I put him down, but I can count on two 1-2 hour naps every day.
These naps are important to me, as I'm sure most other parents, because it allows me to complete chores around the house, finish daily tasks, and let's face it, accrue some ME time. Can I get an AMEN?
Unfortunately, this last week has been filled with some sort of pseudo-nap hybrid. It goes like this - I put him down and he's perfectly quiet. Ten minutes later he suddenly starts playfully screeching, followed by a prompt morphing into Level Ten exorcist baby.
What's going on? Teething? The lawn mower? I immediately pulled out my Toddler 411 book, which states that your toddler drops their second nap (usually the morning one) somewhere between twelve and twenty months. If he truly is dropping the nap, he's on the early end of the spectrum at 13 months old. LUCKY ME.
When did your baby start taking one nap a day? (Please tell me they were 2 years old, just like he will be once he gets back on track. Please.)

But, now, in stead of looking forward to 2-hour naps per day, I look forward to 1 3-hour nap per day. I'll trade the 1 3-hour nap for 2 2-hour naps anytime!! Enjoy!!

Basically she stayed awake longer in the morning til the 1st nap was moving closer to the afternoon & taking place over lunch time (11am-1pm or longer) and then would either only have 30-40 mins late in the afternoon (arnd 5-6pm) and then bunker down for at least 10 & 1/2 hrs at 8pm, or refuse to nap the 2nd time, get irritable & crash & burn by 7 or 7.30pm. If she was gng thru some developmental phase she wld nap longer over midday time (there were some 3 & 1/2 hr naps!) & go down earlier @ night. She dropped the 2nd nap altogether by 10 & 1/2 months & has been napping on most occasions for 3hrs from 11am-ish onwards. She has been waking up in the middle of the night or at 5am-ish sometimes though lately - on the verge of walking & got teeth coming through all over the place, poor thing! After we established sleep routines in the 1st 2 months, I followed her lead where naps where concerned from 2 months onwards.

She will take 2-3 naps each day, like approx 11 am 2pm and 5 something pm. Then after i feed her around 7:30pm play a little bit then goto sleep. The main problem I am facing is she gets fuzzy during mid night, suddenly she crys like crazy non-stop. I was having hard time to stop her crying, play ELMO movie works sometimes, grab her a bottle of milk. Then she went back to sleep, 3 hrs later like 4am mid night, she crys again....... What should I do? What is your recommendation? This is my first baby, I got no experience and knowledge. Sometimes it makes me frustrated. Please help me :-(
