Britney loses custody

A judge has ordered full custody of Sean Preston and Jayden James temporarily be given to their father this Wednesday at noon.
While it is sad news for Britney Spears, who appears mentally and emotionally unstable, it is not her children's job to keep her together. Hopefully this will be the wake-up call the young mother has needed to get her life back together.
I'm unfamiliar with the legal system, but doesn't It seem a little dangerous to leave kids with the parent who was denied custody for a day and a half?

I am so sad for Britney, she seems in such a spiral. But if all these rumors about the drugs and everything else are true, then clearly it's not a good place for her kids to be. Not sure if the alternative is too much better, though! I hope she gets herself straight.

No matter what we read and hear, I feel nothing but bad for Brit. I do. She is going in such the wrong direction and sadly, Carolyn is right, we don't know that the alternative is any better. He seems to be laying lower. I'm sorry Marion but I don't think what you said is very nice. I've seen pics of him with his other kids as well. I don't usually say things like that to other posters but it hit me as mean.

How people can have even a smidge of sympathy for Spears is incomprehensible to me. Just look at those miserable babies--the youngest always looks exhausted, with deep black rings under his eyes. Of course he's sleep-deprived--his mommy wakes him up to take him to dinner at a restaurant at 10 p.m. Do people just not know that infants need to go to bed very early, to sleep about 11-12 hours a night, and then to take naps, too? I believe all the reports of Spears feeding these babies coffee, soda, chips (if you notice, Spears herself is never without a giant-sized Frappucinno--she's so orally-fixated)...and since we have seen photos of the boys fetching her ciggies for her, I'd bet anything she also sedates them with her drugs when they annoy her. Among about a million other things, these infants are already completely traumatized from being handled by so many different strangers...who are usually men, since apparently in her vast wisdom, Spears considers male bodyguards to be appropriate nannies. They must also be literally frightened by her, since she constantly changes the way she looks, by wearing different-colored and styled wigs. How scary is that for an infant? One day Mommy has pink hair, the next day, it's pitch-black, on and on. She often takes them to the beach, and while she is always wearing a big old tacky hat, she makes no effort whatsoever to protect these fair-skinned infants from sun damage.
I saw a photo of them recently where they looked completely different...they were with their grandparents. Not only did they look rested and happy, but their hair was washed and they looked as if they had been bathed.
It's emotionally painful to think about the enormous amounts of varied abuse and neglect that occurred in that house of horrors...

Robin--Hate the disease, not the person. It seems pretty obvious that there are some psych issues going on here. While her choices are still her own and hurting her kids is definitely not okay (which is why the court was made), she has an uneven footing with any other person that doesn't have a mental illness or addiction.
Mental illness is just as incapacitating as someone with a broken leg or a stroke or a heart attack. Doesn't excuse the person from not taking care of their kids, but is the reason why I have sympathy for her and hope she gets the help that she needs.
