The full body bib, and more

Categories: Toddlers, Eating & Nutrition, Development

Nolan's babysitter was watching him spoon pasta into his mouth, dubiously regarding the growing splatters on his cute blue t-shirt, the litter of spiral noodles falling idly onto the dog's back as my son slurped.

"Does he have a bib?" she asked.
"Umm. No."
Actually, I haven't had a bib for Nolan since he was a baby. I'm not totally sure why. It's not like his eating habits have become any less sloppy with age. In fact, he emerges stickier and filthier now, most times, than he did when he was an infant. But most of the bibs I've seen in toy and clothing stores are the tiny little ones made for babies.

Not anymore. A friend pointed me in the direction of Goo Goo baby, an earth-friendly, family-owned website that sells toddler bibs among other wares for small kids. I honed in on the bibs right away -- actually, they are smocks -- and there is one in particular that has a pocket that catches and retains up to 1/2 a cup of food and liquid! Well, better in there than on the floor, Nolan's clothes, or Jordi's poor, beleaguered head. I'm hooking myself up with one of those, but check out the whole site as they have some truly practical stuff.
