Mariah Carey needs to take a bathroom inventory

Big celebrities seem to exist on a different planet from the rest of us, but childless superstars can seem to be in a completely different galaxy.
Take Mariah Carey, for instance. In an interview in November's Glamour magazine, Mariah was asked how many bathrooms her mammoth 12,000 square foot apartment contained. But because she's never had to make the frantic race to the powder room with a potty training toddler, or clean up any of those bathrooms after the inevitable potty training accidents, the 37-year-old singer admitted to not having any idea how many powder rooms she possessed.
"I don't know! Do you really want me to try and think about it?"
Mariah did know that one of her many bathrooms is decorated in a Hello Kitty motif.
"I've liked Hello Kitty since I was little," she says.

Mariah Carey Angry Over Nicki Minaj Joining American Idol
The news of Nicki Minaj joining the American Idol judges panel broke yesterday and while the most people seemed excited about the new addition, Mariah Carey is not. TMZ is reporting that Mariah, who is known for her diva antics, hung up the phone when she was told that Nicki was the top candidate.Apparently Mariah was led to believe she would be the only woman on the judge's panel and adding Nicki to the mix would not only crush that expectation.

This article is totally irrelevent bringing in the fact that she's 37 yrs old with no kids, what does it have to do with how many bathrooms she has. Jane said...I'm not sure what her not having kids has anything to do with her bathrooms. So people who don't have kids don't use the bathroom and/or don't clean them? Even if she had kids, do you honestly think she would clean the bathrooms herself? There are plenty of wealthy people with kids that never fold their own clothes, let alone scrub a toilet.

Laiconna said...it's possible that she doesn't know exactly how many bathrooms she has in the house. Odds are she spends less time at her home than the average 9 to 5 working stiff.
If she lives in a mansion, and I'm sure she does, it's highly likely she hasn't used every bathroom in her home.

Jan said...I am quite sure she was just being funny, but I'v e seen an article in Cosmo magazine and she talked about her New York apartment and the cost of it and it was ALL done in white and the kitchen was small because she didn't cook but the rest of it was awesome. She even had her little dog with her. So, I know she knows how many bathrooms ther are!
