Martha Stewart's mother passes away
Filed under: Just For Moms, Activities: Babies, Celeb Parents, In The News, Media

Martha Stewart's mother has passed away. The woman known as Big Martha, whose real name was Martha Koystra, was a ripe 93.
Martha Stewart has credited her mother with teaching her all the tricks of the trade and appeared on Martha's show "Martha" numerous times working along side her daughter. Big Martha suffered a stroke earlier in the week.
Big Martha was a school teacher with six children. Clearly Martha junior learned about how to be organized from her mother, if nothing else! I'm sure her mother never dreamed that all those hints and tips she was teaching her daughter would become part of an empire that includes television, books, magazines and more.
Our condonlences to Martha, who has for some reason always been one of my heroes, on the loss of her mother.
