Product Recalls: Children's Jewelry

If you've got any discount store trinkets around the house, you might want to take a look at this list of jewelry recalls announced by the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission. All of the recalls below are due to the presence of high levels of lead and it goes without saying that they were all made in China.

Rachel Rose and Distinctly Basics Assorted Children's Jewelry - About 205,000 of these assorted jewelry pieces were sold at either Hobby Lobby or Family Dollar stores nationwide from January 2003 through August 2007 for $.50 and $2.

Pure Allure Crystal Innovations Jewelry - About 200,000 jewelry pieces in 29 different styles were sold at Michaels Stores nationwide from April 2006 to September 2007 for about $5.

La Femme NY Children's Necklace and Earring Sets - About 4,500 necklace and earring sets were sold at various dollar stores nationwide from October 2005 to April 2007 for about $1.

Colossal Jewelry Children's Metal Necklaces and Bracelets - About 10,400 silver-colored necklaces and bracelets were sold at various discount and dollar stores nationwide from January 2005 through June 2007 for about $1.

Sparkle City Charm Bracelets and Tack Pin Sets - About 43,000 charm bracelets and tack pins were sold at Big Lots stores nationwide from August 2005 through April 2007 for about $1.

Cherrydale Fundraising Bracelets - About 45,000 of these silver-colored bracelets were sold at various dollar stores, liquidators, and schools as part of fundraising, nationwide from September 2003 through April 2007 for between $1 and $12.
