Spice kids passing chickenpox
Categories: Health & Safety, Celeb Kids, Celeb Parenting, That's Entertainment
Disease happens, even to Spice girls.
Ginger Spice, Gerri Halliwell is having to leave her eighteen month old daughter home while the rest of the gang goes to Vancouver to kick of their world tour.
"Bluebell caught chickenpox from Cruz," Halliwell said this morning on a British TV show. "She's now completely pelted now so I left her at home. Normally they're running around the set."
Luckily, first time mom Halliwell isn't upset over the accidental exposure. She shared daughter Bluebell,"loves hanging with the Beckham boys. Cruz and Bluebell have play dates, and Romeo – well, he is just gorgeous with her. Actually, it was a beautiful moment when we were rehearsing the other day and all of our kids were playing on the stage at the same time. It made me smile."
Between all the Spices,, the girls have seven children: Victoria Beckham (Posh) has three sons: Brooklyn, 8, Romeo, 5, and Cruz; Emma Bunton (Baby) has son Beau, born in August; Melanie Brown (Scary) has two children, Phoenix Chi, 8, and Angel, born in April, while Halliwell (Ginger) has little Bluebell. Melanie Chisholm (Sporty) is the only Spice that doesn't need a nanny or babysitter on staff before heading out on tour.
My first two sons got chicken pox, but the last two were given the vaccine. Since the shots became require around here, I haven't heard of many kids having chicken pox anymore. Are kids still getting it in your area?

My son had the vaccine, but still got the chicken pox. The vaccine isn't 100% effective. His pox were pretty mild and he got over them quickly and I assume I have the vaccine to thank for that. He caught it from his cousins who also had the vaccine.

People, vaccines contain TOXINS. Mercury may be removed from SOME (NOT ALL!) but there's still aluminum salts, formeldahyde (which is damaging to the IMMUNE system no less!) and numerous bits from other animals (don't believe me? READ the fine print- and go check the Material Safety Data Sheets on the ingredients).
They are no guarantee of immunity, mini epidemics have happened in VACCINATED populations. Of course they aren't mentioned in the media, and if they are they conveniently forget to say those kids were all vaxed. The majority still do, simply because of ignorance of what's IN them and the true dangers of those toxins.
As for them 'not' causing Austism- look up HEAVY METAL TOXICITY and compare the symptoms. Look pretty similar, huh? That's because austism IS heavy metal toxicity. You can use a lot of cilantro (yes, the spice) to help the body rid heavy metals (there are other homeopathic ways to help the body flush toxins) but there is NOTHING that will help remove the formeldahyde, which is damaging to the immune system.
Worried about germs? Don't be. Exposure to typical household germs will build immunity. So will EATING RIGHT. No junk, no fast food- truly natural (organic is best) food free of additives and preservatives and eating enough servings of fruits & veggies will help. Feed them according to blood type and they're even better off.
My kids have no been vaccinated, nor are they 'sheltered'. I take them to stores, and I do NOT wipe the handles. We don't use bleach (chlorine is TOXIC!) only baking soda and vinegar to clean with.
Guess what? They've NEVER been sick. NEVER. She's 2 and he's 9 months. The typical kid gets sick 6-10 times their first YEAR of life. Gee, if people are so over-protective why are these kids sick?
Toxins and poor diet. Plain and simple. Don't vaccinate, and don't let them drink homogenized pasteurized milk. Only real, raw cow's milk GIVES nutrition. Altering it makes it TAKE calcium, etc from the body.
And the best source of Vitamin D? The SUN. Yup. 10-20 min of real sunshine, not fluorescent lights will let your body PRODUCE its own Vitamin D, which is the KEY player in preventing cancer.

I wish it was more prevalent, as I would rather my kids had chicken pox in preschool or primary school than risk getting it later, when it would be much more severe. If I hear of someone's kid having chicken pox, I'm arranging a playdate ASAP.

Why is this news? Kids get sick all the time. Even rich kids whose parents are famous. Get over it and move on.

My son wouldn't catch the pox's. He was around many children with them and didn't come down with them. We were told about the vaccine from our son's doctor it was new at that time so children weren't getting them as part of their vaccines. We elected to get him the shot now almost nineteen years later he still hasn't caught the chicken pox's and never will thanks to the vaccine.

Don't feel secure. I got chicken pox at 32 from my 12 year old daughter. I had been exposed many times before. I was a mess.
Jules 12-01-2007 @ 11:17AM
Just because he hasn't gotten it yet does not mean he never will, hope he has kept up with his boosters, otherwise he may still get the chickenpox when he is older and become extremely ill from it.
Cstraight 12-01-2007 @ 7:26AM
Better to get the chicken pox and be immune than risk catching it later in life as shingles,eh? Either forego the vaccine or be ready to get boosters for life is how I see it.
Chicken pox as a kid to me meant several days off school and special treatment from mum. It wasnt half bad.

As a kid, I had chicken pox. After my third child of our four (younger daughter) was born, I had shingles. Having chicken pox didn't stop me from getting shingles.
As for the vaccine, my fourth child had the vaccine. I think he also got a very mild case of them about 4-6 months after the shot. My first three kids had the chicken pox. The oldest son got it at the end of second grade and they appeared on his Dad's birthday and grandfather's so none of us could go out to eat to celebrate the day. Their two sisters got it a about 6 months later when it went raging through school during November/December/January. I thought my younger daughter was safe from it but she broke out just as the incubation period was ending. Oh well.

My sons, ages 17, 18, & 25 have all had chicken pox. There was no vaccine when they were young and even if there were, they would not have taken it.
Chicken Pox is like a right of passage. Miss a week of kindergarten. Why does there have to be a vaccine for everything?
Also, if I would have known then what I know now, my sons, who were homeschooled, would not have had too many vaccines.

Unfortunatly, even to get into college now you need to be vaccinated. It was a huge pain when I had to hunt down my shot recors while applying to certain universities. On the subject of the chicken pox vaccine, I teach, and last year (with the required vaccine) the majority of the 4th and 5th grade came down with the chicken pox. So, the vaccine doesn't always work, the strain was not the type that was vaccinated for.

TORIE- Vaccines are NOT mandated.
Parents (and when you turn adult) can refuse them.
With the (unconstitutional) exception of the school district in Maryland who threatened parents with jail time (because each kid 'missing' school aka homeschooled 'cost' them money, because they get paid per child per day) and forced vaccines at GUNPOINT (check YouTube- there were cops with guns and attack dogs!) they CANNOT force them to vaccinate.
Why? Because to do so, they'd have to guarantee 1-effectiveness 2- SAFETY Neither of which they can do without risking many lawsuits from any kid who developed autism, the illness they were supposedly protected from, or DYING (Gardasil has killed 2-11 KIDS thus far. Vaccines should never kill, but many have!)
They've now made the forms you have to sign more intimidating-looking but that doesn't change the fact that vaccines are dangerous and don't always work.
I refuse to expose my children to toxins that only claim to prevent illness when I know the proper way to build immunity. Need proof? You can ask our pediatrician. Never been there except for well visits. Neither have been sick yet.
But anyways, it depends on the state laws but there's usually a choice of refusal for religious reasons, and medical reasons. If you have a lot of mercury fillings, or got lots of shots yourself (especially recently, or during pregnancy) your child is at a higher risk for autism because they were exposed to mercury as a fetus (amalgam fillings release mercury vapors constantly, not just when eating or drinking something ho) search for Mercola.com to see more info on them.

Vaccines do wear off as I understand it. If your child gets the vaccine, they will need boosters for life in order to avoid getting the much more painful and scarring shingles ( a form of chicken pox) as an adult or elderly person, when it could be fatal. I almost think it is just better to have them as a kid and be more solidly immune. Chicken pox is usually only a major risk in children who are sickly or have compromised immune systems. Read for yourself, dont take my word.

My friends son got the vaccine and has had the pox three times. Even though he has received the booster shots.

Make sure before you get ANY vaccination that it is MERCURY FREE. Mercury is used as a preservative in many vaccines and is just TOXIC for your health. The second most toxic substance on the face of the earth so order vaccines specifically to be mercury free. Mercury is most often called thermerisol on the list of ingredients. I would also NEVER give a vaccine under 1 year of age. The blood brain barrier (a protective covering/membrane) isn't even fully developed for at least a year.

Bravo to you for knowing some of the facts.
However, even mercury free vaccines are still toxic.
Formeldahyde is for dead bodies, not the living!
But it, and aluminum salts, sometimes even things as pointless and harmful as MSG are in them. Scary.

I would never get the vaccine for Chickon Pox. My cousin daughter received the vaccine when it came available, a few years ago she started with eye problems and now she is almost BLIND. Chickpox are not a big deal.

She probably has herpes in her eye like I did. I nearly went blind too- I still have scarring. The dr misdiagnosed the sores as eczema. The other drs (I saw half a dozen) all said there's no way he should have thought it was that. If he'd properly diagnosed me, I would still have decent eyesight.
I'm symptom free for over 2 yrs and pharmaceutical free for nearly 3. I got the vaccine, against my will, and ended up with it spreading. Before, I never had so much as a cold sore (which is also herpes- but pox and that kind are different strains). What works (better than those drugs from the ones in white coats) is coconut oil (can be applied or taken orally), olive leaf extract (orally) and proper diet, and learning to handle stress (since herpes likes to come out during times of stress).

My son caught chicken pox when he was 4 years old; when he was a teenager, he developed shingles, a painful and hard to cure skin disease caused by the chicken pox virus. Chicken pox can be a really terrible disease. It can be deadly for unborn children of pregnant mother's who catch it, and unfortunately, like my son, can lie dormant in the body for many years and reappear as shingles. I opt for having children vaccinated to be on the safe side for themselves and others.

My daughter caught the pox from a kid at school who was just getting them No one thought he was contagious till about 2 weeks later when about half the kids in her 2nd grade class caught them... I thought I already had them growing up so I took care of her and then I caught them at age 29, But we both survive . One or two pox scars.. Most kids have the pox so its no big deal
