Cindy Crawford is human after all
Cindy Crawford is arguably one of the most beautiful women in the world. Even after giving birth to two children, the 41-year-old looks amazing. With that gorgeous head of hair, the well-placed beauty mark and that fabulous body, she's one hot mama and I admit that I am envious.
But, this photo made my day. She still looks fantastic, but the shot reveals that her supermodel body is made of the same stuff as mine: stretchy skin. But what I appreciate most about this photo is that she's clearly comfortable with her body just the way it is. She could have had plastic surgery to pick up that little flap of belly sag. She could have worn a one-piece bathing suit to hide it. But by proudly revealing her imperfections, she makes it a little easier for me to accept mine.
So, thank you Cindy Crawford. You are beautiful!

If I were her I would definitely have a tummy tuck or wear a one piece suit. Since she was once a model, you would think she would cover that up to keep her image. She looks just like any other woman in her 40's. Not so hot anymore.

retract your claws and slink away! Your comment was not only rude and *catty*, it was also completely pointless. Your kind is not needed here.

Stephanie said...I think she is a very beautiful woman and if certain people have a problem with it they should just not look. I live by the rule that only God can judge me and I think that Eva and Karen should to. Judge not unless thou be judge, I say!!! I have one child and due to medical problems I have several areas with stretch marks but I am not going to hide from public just beacause some people have a problem with it. They may not be appealing to some people but I am not ashamed I figure I got them for a reason!!

My only hope is that you're NOT raising young girls.

My husband had a triple bypass and the scar all the way down his chest is massive. I kiss it every day because it reminds me of why he's still alive. I hope the father of her children does the same thing in gratitude for her having those kids. My daughter-in-law can't have children but she would take a 1000 stretch marks to get pregnant. Fortunately, they can adopt. Cindy, you go girl. Perfection should be judged by the size of our hearts and not by the imperfections on the outside.

When Demi Moore posed for a nude photo when she was p.g. no one raised an eyebrow.

This doesn't look like a belly sag to me, I'm well aware of what mine looks like, this looks like a photo from when she was pregnant. Something isn't right here. At any rate, there is no imperfection that I can detect. And, I hate to break it to you, I'm sure that her face etc. was airbrushed.

I feel much better about the future of our country, reading these comments (because sometimes I worry that we're getting too superficial, and valuing the wrong things).
I birthed 4 kids and my stomach's (very) flabby and my breasts, which lovingly nursed 4 kids to good health, aren't perky anymore. I've been ashamed of what pregnancy and motherhood did to my body.
I'm starting to give up that shame, right here and now.
I'm going to talk to my kids about this. I want them to learn from my mistakes, and value their bodies, imperfections and all.
Bravo to Crawford -- but also bravo to many of you commenters.
