Maybe Frank Zappa started this trend back in 1967 when he named his daughter Moon Unit. As bizarre as that is, you kind of expected it from Frank Zappa. But how to explain Sylvester Stallone's Sage Moonblood? Or Jason Lee's Pilot Inspektor?
For your reading pleasure, Cracked.com has compiled a list of the 20 most bizarre celebrity names. Although Apple Martin did make the list, that name sounds positively ordinary compared to some of the others. What is your favorite bizarre celeb baby name?

We just added Sabriel Gennica to our family this morning--she is perfect, and unique like her brother Sebastian Zavier. I guess that qualifies as different-my sister and I hate common names( we both share names with many folks as do our hubby's. So our children generally do not. Sorry, had to gush about the new niece!!!!!!

My favorite is "Moxie Crimefighter", daughter of Penn Jillette. The name "Moxie" is cute. It almost sounds like a typical name and is meaningful, as any dictionary will tell you.
Her middle name is what makes it my favorite. Her parents don't see middle names as having much value. Her mother, Emily Zolten, doesn't even have one. Moxie's middle name is basically a joke set up far in advance of her ever being pulled over by a cop. Think of it.
"But, Officer, Crimefighter is my middle name!"
I would never have the moxie to give my kids such a strange middle name.
