Heath Ledger dead at 28
Filed under: Celeb Kids, Celeb Parents
Sad and shocking news from New York this afternoon: actor Heath Ledger was found dead in his Manhattan apartment. The Associated Press says that police believe drugs may be involved and there are reports that a bottle of sleeping pills was found near his body.
Ledger and his Brokeback Mountain costar Michelle Williams became parents to daughter Matilda in 2005. During William's pregnancy, Ledger spoke of wanting to be a stay-at-home dad and expressed his desire to have at least six children with Williams. Even after they broke up last year, the couple seemed to be focused on doing the best for Matilda, going so far as to create identical bedrooms for their daughter in each of their homes.
I am so sad for this little girl who will never know her father. Whatever the cause of Ledger's untimely death, it is most certainly a tragedy.

Ariel said...My heart goes out to Michelle and Matilda. I recently heard similar news about another actor, Brad Renfro. It's sad to see such young actors died needlessly, but even sadder when one is a parent.

Sandyone said...Lauren, let's not jump to conclusions. How 'bout just leaving it at "Chris, you're a jerk". Does Chris sound anything like a Christian? Does his post have anything to do with Christianity?

ashley said...i'm sorry, but you all need to stop bickering! a great actor has died. show a little respect. this is one of those times where 'if you don't have anything nice to say...say nothing at all.'
no matter how you all feel about him as a person/actor doesn't matter right now. no matter what his actual cause of death is, keep in mind...the public lost an amazing actor(imho)...but the people close to him lost much more. a father, a love, a son, a friend.
chris:would you go to someones funeral and say such things?well doing it online is worse. it will be here forever.
so i say again...'if you don't have anything nice to say...say nothing at all.'

Lauren said...And another thing this post has nothing to do with Christianity But it definetly has nothing to do with being a homo and getting what you deserve, but I see we only get up in arms about christianity not when someone says something obnoxious about someone who has died.
