Could you summarize your parenting experience in six words?

Filed under: That's Entertainment, Books for Kids

Since I joined ParentDish last fall, I have written 38,711 words. I count each and every one of them.

(KIDDING. It's just a feature on our publishing software.)

When it comes to topics near and dear to us, it can be nearly impossible to summarize our feelings in a simple sentence. (Our particular community of commenters would agree, yes?)

Smith Magazine's book, Not Quite What I Was Planning: Six-Word Memoirs by Writers Famous and Obscure, features a multitude of funny or moving six-word memoirs about babies by all types of writers. Some examples are:

My baby's name was Sydney Jane. - Margot Bertoni
Found true love after 9 months. - Jody Smith
My daughter's baby. Inconvenient and incredible. - Laurie White
Multiple miscarriages. Cousin will carry baby. - Joanne Brody
So devastated, no babies for me. - Jennifer Faulkner
Carnivore and herbivore birth magical omnivore. - Morgan Spurlock
Eight thousand orgasms. Only one baby. - Neal Pollack
Sperm too potent, now have triplets. - Renee Schunk
