Fashion designer Tom Ford wants a baby

Filed under: Life & Style, Celeb Parents, Rumors

I was flipping through the latest issue of Vanity Fair the other day and came across an ad featuring a photo of fashion designer Tom Ford. In the photo, he is leaning back all casual like and looking cool. I don't keep up with fashion designers and know nothing about Ford other than he looks hot in a pinstripe suit. Looking at that photo, I briefly wondered if he was gay.

I am wondering no more, after reading the first sentence of this article: "Gay fashion designer Tom Ford has expressed his desire to have children.- but is looking for a willing woman to carry his baby."

It seems that 46-year-old Ford has decided this is the year he will become a father. It also sounds like his partner, Richard Buckley, is reluctantly on-board with the idea. Ford says, "I'm going to have a kid in 2008. Richard knows I've wanted this for a long time. He's just resisted it. He would be a spectacular father."

Ford says the child will be biologically his and he's already thinking ahead to the possibility of raising it alone. Buckley is 59-years-old and Ford says he will "probably leave the planet ahead of me, and I can't not have had something I've wanted forever."

"I've always wanted kids. I don't want to get to be 75-years-old and just have made a lot of dresses, done some houses," he says.
