Bruce Willis lets daughter wear too short shorts?
Categories: Celeb Kids, Life & Style, Celeb Parenting, Behaving Badly
There are some fairly controversial pictures making their rounds on the Internet today: specifically, Bruce Willis' and Demi Moore's daughter with her butt cheeks hanging out of some scandalously short shorts. It's not the eldest Willis child displaying a willingness to bare a lot, either -- it's the youngest child, barely 14-year-old Tallulah Belle. And it's hard to say for sure, but I'd venture to guess that the bum creep action is unintentional. Short shorts are trendy this season and I dunno, she looks so otherwise innocent. I wonder if it's another case of the paparazzi just looking for the greasy money shot, but still - I can't help but thinking her Dad must have noticed that she was semi bare-bummed as he was hugging her. And I wonder if he said anything or pretended, red-faced, not to notice.
I remember being obsessed with the TV show DeGrassi Junior High when I was a pre-teen, watching Stephanie Kaye stroll demurely to school in her prim outfit, only to emerge triumphantly from the bathroom stall in all her trashy, short-skirted glory. Her parents couldn't stop her from dressing provocatively, even if she had to go to great lengths to hide it from them. Similarly, I'm thinking Bruce probably can't stop Tallulah, either.
Teens are unstoppable, especially young teen girls, I remember my own short-lived penchant for inch-long shorts. But, oh, I wish someone would put a wrap skirt on that Willis girl.

I don't think she intentionally bared her rear end. In fact, in the third pic you can see she is sheepishly pulling her shorts down. My guess is that they pulled up while she was hugging dad and the paparazzi was in the right place at the right time. Everyone who has ever worn short shorts or a mini skirt knows that this is a hazard and she just learned her lesson. Poor girl.

Poor thing. I agree with the first poster. I mean look at her, she's got her shirt tucked in and she's wearing those shorts not on her hips but on her waist like she should be. In reaching up to hug her dad i'm sure her shirt pulled up her shorts, no big deal and completely innocent. I think the paparazzi just took that moment for all it was worth. You can see the look on her face as she turns toward the cameras and pulls on her shorts, poor thing, i'm sure she learned her lesson too.

I think the real question is what the hell is wrong with these photographers that they're taking perv shots of a 14 year old and then posting it up on the net like some sort of moral victory.
But hey, whatever feeds our collective cult of personality right? It's no longer enough to prey upon every moment of the lives of actual celebrities, now we need to stalk their kids as well.

Accidental fashion oops---
My question why did the article have to go on and call her fugly as well? The value of the entire deal is zero IMO

Bless her heart! Haven't we all had our own wardrobe malfunctions?
Me: 16, in a pleated denim skirt about 3 inches above the knee, STRONG gust of West TN wind equals ooopps! Me again: in the hospital after the birth of my now 8 year old daughter; crazy tired after a 14 hour labor, being wheeled from my room to NICU by my mom to nurse hungry baby for the 5th time in a 12 hours equals... me with a boob hanging out of my hospital gown after a shoulder snap mishap, with an older couple looking on bemusedly yet kindly. Me, yet again: stumbling around with 2 hours sleep while taking care of a newborn and a 2 year old, opening the door with my button-up shirt SO unbuttoned to the waist after nursing. Luckily, both cups of the nursing bra were still fastened. I shouldn't mention that a couple of weeks ago I went to a new restaurant looking so hot, only to come home and notice a blotch of foundation on the seat of my black jeans.
I bet to differ on one thing, though. Teens ARE stoppable. My grandmother stopped my mom from wearing the micro mini's of the 60's. My mom stopped me from the, ahem, prostitute-looking eye shadow that was popular in the mid 80's and drew the line fashionwise at the jeans i couldn't zip without laying down, along with the newly fashionable sweater dress that was so tight my butt-crack was visable through the fabric. I'm not sure what fashion horrors await my 8 and 10 year old, but be assured, I Will be there to nip that crap in the bud. If they do manage to spend their own money on clothing I don't approve of, sorry little sweethearts! You wasted your money on clothing you can't wear, but at least the dog has extra cushion in his dog house. Can't stop teens, my azz!

Unfortunately, teens can get around alot of things...behind your back. I was lucky my rents were decently cool, but my best friend changed clothes daily and then back before we got home, cleaning off the make-up and all. They still do not know to this day...the angel they raised was a hellion. She made the good grades, never got into trouble but she had a different persona than daddy knew about--still does. It is not that hard, too be honest.

I disagree, Isa. I think you can, in fact, influence and control what your teens wear, and a lot of what they do, for that matter.
It isn't an issue of whether they leave the house and change, but an issue of respect. I hated that my parents tried to control what I wore, but I respected them and their decisions, and did as I was told.....on that front at least. The worst thing I coud hear from my parents was that I had disappointed them. Wearing slutty clothes would have most definitely constituted disappointment.
I also think it is an issue of being around. My parents were always right around the corner. My dad was at every athletic game I participated in, he was very involved at the school. They knew teachers, administrators, coaches.
And, lastly, being a wee bit scared of what will happen if you do, in fact, get caught. Whew, it wasn't good in my house the couple times I did try something behind my parents back and got caught.

This poor kid. It looks like a total accident. What do you suppose she feels like after seeing this all over the Internet???? And she was hugging her father. Kristin, I'm surprised at you. Your not usually not judgmental in the least. How could he see her behind if he’s hugging her?? Even if he was looking down which he wasn't, it would be impossible for him to see those cheeks escaping the shorts. This is a young girl, I'm disappointed that this even made this site.

You know what Jane? Now that I look at that third picture more closely, you're right. I do think it was unintentional, though at first I wasn't so sure -- I was thinking more that butt seepage might be the newest celeb trend.
And we've all been asked to do less personal posts and more celeb and informational posts and I'm trying my hand at them -- though obviously I have a boatload to learn, as evidenced here!

Thank you Kristin for re-looking. It just didn’t sound like a post of yours and I had to re-look also to see who wrote it. While I do like the occasional post on celebs, I really do enjoy the day to day of you writers. Lately though, there are far to many that are to much the same. The one that comes to mind right off the bat is “The TV” issue. While one post would be fine, I think there were 4 of them in two weeks.
I’ve often wondered how this whole ParentDish thing worked. So is it to “draw in the masses?” I have been reading this website for over 2 years though I never made a comment until recently and I will say that the “core readers” that I used to really enjoy hearing from don’t comment anymore and I’ve often wondered where they went. I enjoyed them as much as the stories. Some of the “new” people who comment on every single story sometimes make my blood boil with the “know it all attitude” but I can “scroll” I know.
So, just in case it matters, I’d much rather read about Nolan than seeing the Willis’s girls “buns.” I could also really care less if she’s wearing a thong or no undies. I feel that’s up to her.

Ick. Isn't it illegal to take pics of a 14-year-old's butt and sell them?? I think in cases like this the photographer should be sued. What kind of pervert follows a 14-year-old around in the hope of getting a peek at her butt from some odd angle or other? How anyone can stand to live in that kind of environment, let alone raise kids there, is beyond me. No wonder the output of the entertainment world reflects no morals.
Yeah, the shorts are too short, but she's a kid and just has a lot to learn; what is the adult voyeurs' excuse?
Kristin, I'm sorry to hear that they have told you guys to post more stuff about celebs. Ick again. I would rather hear a Nolan story any day.

Toatlly agree w/ you on all counts. More celeb junk and parent dish will become perezhilton.com. How dissappointing
Kristin 3-26-2008 @ 12:30AM
SKL and isisaquaria: here's my dilemma. I know that our core readership very much enjoys the reflective, personal approach.
And, I also know that the celeb stuff is what draws in the masses. So -- we're going to try to keep everyone happy as possible. But know that the team has heard the active participants in this community, too -- and will do everything we can to make sure you stay engaged and interested. For now, I guess, just skip over the celeb posts if they don't interest you.

The deal is there are other websites that report trash-such as the nature of this particular original article..those who want to see that can go there.
There are some celebs who do things worthy of this site, but this was not one--nothing against u at all. I understand what the reasoning is, just really hate to see a respected site IMO turn into such as the aforementioned. I will go out on a limb and say in this I am not alone.
Jessica 3-26-2008 @ 10:16AM
Slow day at work so I am mega-posting I suppose.
But, OK, say it is just a case of shorts pulling up, does anyone else have a problem with the lack of panties? Either she is wearing a thong or none at all. And both of those options trouble me on a 14yo.
As long as I am doing the laundry and buying the clothes, I can assure you my 14yo will NOT wear thongs.

Would it be possible they rode up with the shorts?
