According to People magazine, Jamie Lynn Spears is now sporting an engagement ring along with her baby bump. The Zoey 101 star is said to have been flashing a diamond ring from eighteen-year-old boyfriend Casey Aldridge to friends and family.
Jamie Lynn sparked new discussions on teen pregnancies when the sixteen-year-old announced her pregnancy earlier this year.
Marriage has proved to be challenging for the Spears family. Jamie Lynn's parents are divorced and her sister has been divorced twice if you count the Las Vegas annulment. I'm not sure getting married just because you are pregnant is the best choice for a sixteen year old.

Sabrina said...Who is to say? I don't believe that just because you're a teenage you don't have authentic feelings about another person, but I know from personal experience how much a person changes between the ages of 16 and 24. I would not encourage marriage just for the sake of a baby, but I wouldn't discourage marriage for true love. Maybe the best course of action would be to wait and see? Luckily, it's not my family or my decision right now.
