Pilot hits house to avoid kids
Categories: Places To Go, In The News, Toys & Games
A small plane pilot whose plane crashed into a home in England is being hailed as a hero after he managed to steer his plane away from a park where nearly two dozen children were playing. Instead, the plane crashed into a house that was, fortunately, empty at the time. All five on board the plane, including famous British race car drivers David Leslie and Richard Lloyd, were killed. As a parent of two small children, I am continually worrying about what might happen to them. My daughter, Sara, loves to hang from handrails as if they were trapeeze bars, but I worry about her slipping and smacking her head on the cement below. I don't even want to get started worrying about planes falling out of the sky. Still, I'm sure the parents of those young footballers are very grateful to the pilot for avoiding the park where they were playing.
