Jodie Sweetin has a daughter

Jodie Sweetin, the actress who played Stephanie Tanner, the middle daughter on "Full House" has started filling up her own with the birth by C-section of a daughter by on Saturday.
Zoie Herpin weighed 8 lbs 7 ozs and is the first child for Sweetin and her husband Cody Herpin.
"Jodie says that she and her husband and family are absolutely thrilled and in love with baby Zoie," says a rep for the actress.
Keeping baby's name secret until after they are born can be a good idea, as people telling you why it's stupid and emailing the reasons they hate it for nine months can get pretty annoying, but sharing possible names can reveal connotations and meanings you were unaware of.
My friend's husband was keen to name their 2nd son "Cramer" after a famous expedition in New Guinea. This was at the apex of Seinfeld's popularity but neither of them watched prime time television. After viewing just one episode, Cramer became Ethan. I wonder if anyone had the courage to tell Zoie's parents that when it is written out, "Zoie Herpin" sort of looks like the name of a medication?

Even if somebody did tell them, they probably wouldn't've listened. A good friend of mine just named her child the most horrible, offensive thing, and yes, she did know it was offensive to a certain group of people; she chose it anyway because she liked how it sounds. Gah!

"Herpin" is just *such* an unfortunate last name! If I were Jodie, I think I would have gone with Zoie Sweetin-Herpin at least throwing her pleasant maiden name in there offers a distraction!
