Did Suri Cruise get a new haircolor?
Categories: Celeb Kids, Rumors
Suri Cruise, daughter of actors Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes recently celebrated her 2nd birthday, officially becoming a Big Girl. However, recent photos of the cutie have the internet abuzz with the question: did this little child really get a hair color change?
Photos of the formerly raven-haired tyke leaving a Manhattan hotel with her similarly dark-haired parents make Suri's hair appear to have become three shades lighter practically overnight. Speculation on this phenomena ranges from being due to the angle of the lighting, bleaching in the sun, children's hair naturally fading as they grow, and to a chemical treatments.
If Suri's hair has been chemically treated: umm, why?! And also, could I have the name of that colorist? My kids' hair looks fine, it's their mama that could use some help!

Considering both my kids were born with jet black hair, then my sons hair fell out, grew in super blond and has darkened to dirty blond over the years as well as my daughter who is now walking around with hair significantly lighter than when she was born, I have to say, really? people think that they dyed her hair? um, how about, that's just what happens with kids.

I have 3 kids. #1 and #3 both born with full heads of dark brown hair. Their hair never fell out-it just turned blonde. My oldest had black tips for the longest time and my youngest literally just went blonde almost over night. Like a lot of Mom's I take tons of pics of them and you can see the huge change in less then 1 months time. I seriously doubt they colored it and Im surprised someone would even think that much less write about it.

Tom Cruise is a little weird, yes, but did he allow someone to color Suri's hair? I don't think so. I looked at the picture, and while it looks lighter, that could mean a zillion different things. My sons were both born with dark, dark hair, and then it turned very light blonde. (I remember all the talk about whether Suri had a hairpiece, too, and thguht it was ridiculous because my first son had that much hair when he was born - but his fell out).
The sn will cause hair to lighten, too, and kids hair color changes as they grow. People have way too much time on their hands!

Both of my girls and I were born with very dark brown, almost black hair. Mine was a light strawberry blond by the time I turned one. My girls' hair was light brown and blond by the time they turned one.
A couple of years ago, I let the girls add a few blond highlights during the winter. my youngest daughter also opted for a couple of red streaks because it was around Christmas time. She would have added a couple of green streaks also if the hairdresser had been able to do it.

What a ridiculous article. So what if they did dye her hair? I see newborns with their ears pierced and baby boys with bits of their penis cut off. Putting some chemical in a kids hair is hardly the worst thing that we put them through. On that note, some parent brought their newborn to a 10:30pm screening of Iron Man, I'm pretty certain that the 100 decibels for 2 hours did far more to hurt that kid then some peroxide to his hair would have.

Exactly. I doubt they dyed Suri's hair, but SO WHAT if they did. I'm sure they're just doing what works for their family. Right?
You know, there is a way to write about celebrities and *not* make it asinine.

Mel,
That "joke" about doing what works for their family was funny the first couple of times, but it's getting pretty old now. You need a new line.
I think it looks like the lights are shining on little Suri's hair and making the color look a bit different. It's only natural for a young kid's hair to change color. My daughter entered the world as a brunette and is now nearly blond. My son entered the world completely bald and now has a mop of white-blond hair. There's no explanation -- it's just genetics.
