Product Recall: Cowboy on a Horse Little Rider Toys

Categories: Safety, Toys & Games

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission has announced the recall of about 6,000 Cowboy on a Horse Little Rider Toys due to excessive levels of lead in the paint on the shoes and pants of the toy.

Made in China and imported by Master Toys & Novelties Inc., of Los Angeles, Calif., the toys were sold at Dollar and discount stores nationwide from April 2007 through January 2008 for between $5 and $7 each.

The recall involves a battery operated riding horse toy with model number 8610B located on the product packaging. Measured together, the horse and rider are about 8.5 inches high by 7.5 inches long. The rider is wearing blue pants and red shirt and the horse is brown. Look for the UPC code 603678086101 printed on the product packaging - these are the only ones included in the recall.

If you have one of these toys, you are advised to immediately take it away from your child and return it to the store where purchased for a full refund. For more information, contact Master Toys & Novelties Inc. by calling (800) 237-5020 between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. PT, Monday through Friday or by visiting their Website.
