People.com buys Celebrity Baby Blog!

You know that fascination so many of us seem to have with celebrities and their children? You know, the one we secretly think is borderline obsessive but that we can't stop feeding anyway--yeah, that one. Well, apparently we're not alone. A note from Mediaweek advises that People.com, the site some would say is the ultimate in-the-know source about celebrities and their, uhm, celebuspawn, has bought Celebrity Baby Blog.
You may not be familiar with the site, but many are--it gets around 8 million hits per month! The blog centers around celebrities and their children, and, in the eyes of at least one co-blogging mom, AlphaMom, treats them with the same respect we'd treat our own friends with children (hopefully). The site will remain separate from People.com.
Response from Internet sites such as AlphaMom has thus far been good. As, perhaps, it should be. This purchase is positive news for all we parenting bloggers out there--whether writing about celebrities, our own experiences, or both, it seems there is much interest by the powers that be in what we're doing. So, fellow bloggers--and readers and commenters--keep up the good work!

I am an obsessive CBB fan and probably go there 3 to 4 times a day checking for the latest news. That is fantastic for Danielle...I assume she will maintain creative control, I would hate to see it bought out and in a couple of months changed to something we fans don't even recognize anymore.
