Brangelina's million dollar babies
Categories: Newborns, Celeb Kids, Rumors
According to Babycenter.com's calculator and my data guesstimates, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt can plan on their upcoming twins costing them roughly about one million dollars to raise from birth until age 18. (The calculator is based on the cost of living in American geographic regions and as this group seems to be a bit nomadic, I wasn't sure how to answer the "Where do you live?" query.)
Lucky for the photogenic duo, their babies are more than just tangible symbols of love, they are also a sound investment. Word is that the bidding rights for the first photos of the superstar spawn is currently at 15 MILLION dollars and is expected to go even higher. According to reports, only People and OK! magazines are left in the negotiations.
Like the first photos of Shiloh (which reportedly sold for nearly 8 million dollars) Brangelina says the money generated will be given to charity.
Dear People and OK magazine,
I have entire shoe boxes full of adorable baby pictures I'm willing to sell for the bargain price of $2 million. I'll even donate half the proceeds to charity!
In these hard economic times, frugal is the new black, so think about it!
Regards,
Angie Felton

At least they are putting the money to good use. I have seen some posters accusing them of exploitation, but aren't they just taking from the rich (the gossip mags) and giving it to the poor? I wonder if the stars who willingly allow pictures of their children to be taken are less hounded by photographers.

I agree, and think it's good that, instead of just letting some random paparazzi (did I spell that right?) get the pics and make money off them, they are playing the capitalist game for the right reason, and getting the most money for a charity. I think it is smart, and I support it fully.
It's not like they can shield the babies and keep the pics away - I've seen pictures of them in very private places that were obviously taken from very far away. If it's going to happen anyway, why not make the best of it?

I think it's wonderful that they will donate the proceeds to charity.
People want to see the photos and why not have the proceeds to go to charity.
I truly admire Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt's acts of giving back to society.
