No twins for Angie -- yet

Who would have thought that in the cautious, conservative world of tabloid journalism, someone would have jumped the gun on a story with sketchy, unsubstantiated evidence? Well, apparently, Entertainment Tonight, which had reported last week that Angelina Jolie had given birth to her twins, got it wrong. The babies are still safely inside their hot mama where they belong.

According to Jolie's attorneys, someone was posing as Holly Goline, Jolie's personal assistant, and that the information this person had provided was false. There were other clues that the report was inaccurate as well -- Brad Pitt was off at a sporting event over the weekend instead of in the NICU, the grandparents weren't on their way to France, and so on.

Jolie's twins are due in August, so a birth last week would have made them more than two months premature. I think it's best they stay in the oven a while longer just to make sure they're fully cooked. And in the end, the lesson here is that you can't believe everything you read, especially online.
