"Baby Grace" mother gives birth

The perpetrators of the horrifying and and heartbreaking case of Baby Grace discovered to be the blonde toddler's own mother and stepfather a mere seven months ago, are in the headlines again.
Kimberly Trenor, 19, just gave birth to a baby boy fathered by Royce Zeigler II, 25, the same man accused of helping beat her 2-year-old daughter Riley Ann (dubbed "baby Grace" by investigators before the body was identified) to death.
The infant was taken into the custody of Child Protective Services immediately after he was born and Trenor was returned to jail. In spite of both parents initially agreeing to give up their parental rights, Zeigler changed his mind and now wants his parents to raise the child. CPS was in the process of placing the newborn child with some of Trenor's relatives but now the courts will have to decide who will raise the baby boy born into such unfortunate circumstances.
It's hard not to feel sympathy for the members of the extended family. Not only did they lose a darling little girl due to the horrific actions of their own flesh and blood, they might also be denied the right to see this little boy as he grows up.
I'm sure glad I'm not a judge.

But here's the thing. Monsters aren't born monsters. They are created. Somebody does things so horrible to them that their brains snap, that they become people unable to function as normal, unable to love and nurture and behave in a way that we would expect of a typical human being. Whether it is simple childhood neglect, mental abuse, physical abuse, who knows, but my bet would be on the assumption that these two people did not come from happy, healthy, loving homes. To introduce another helpless child back into the environment that created these two goes against all reason. What are we doing to the most helpless among us? Feeding them to the wolves. Wonderful.

Nicola- My thoughts exactly. Get this baby as far away from these people as possible. They had their chance to raise their families and they turned out to be horrible monsters.
I dont know what rock I was living under, but the story of Baby Grace is some what unfamiliar to me. I remember seeing sketches of her, but only now did I read the horrifying story that accompanies her beautiful little face.
And, I am sick.
Ofcourse, I couldnt help but keep clicking around and seeing more pictures of her. So innocent. Poor Baby Girl.
And what makes it even harder to digest, is that some where there are other children being treated just as horribly as she was. Only we havent found them yet. Its just absolutely sickening.
It makes me want to just hug my kids even tighter.

I agree with you wholeheartedly.
My mother is an incredibly selfish, arrogant person - who never displayed much of any motherly qualities. She certainly wasn`t abusive in a physical sense, but she was incredibly neglectful and often very cruel.
Why is a mystery - it certainly wasn`t my grandparents` fault. Their other children (except for an uncle with mental illness, but that can`t be helped I suppose) turned out just fine. They raised me and were wonderfully supportive. loving, and stable "parents".
Sometimes, it isn`t the parents, but the natural tendencies of the child combined with outside influences.

I feel every time I see news about this person, some animal instinct comes over me and I feel like getting every garden instrument I can and beating this woman and her ugly boyfriend within an inch of their lives, in fact it is my dream. Who does this to children and then has sex afterwards to have another ugh ugh Ugh can someone in prison please just beat her up at least once? Please what an evil evil woman, and it is proof that demons walk among the earth. Hey Royce, I hope your getting it in the showers and elsewhere, you evil bastard.
