Nicole Kidman arranges delivery room music

Nicole Kidman is counting down to the birth of her baby, and she's getting herself ready. Among other things in her hospital bag is a special CD Kidman has created to play in the delivery room.

What's on it? A variety of pieces by Irish flautist James Galway, for one, and of course some of hubby and baby daddy Keith Urban's country tunes. Kidman has always loved Galway's music -- one friend says, "Whenever you go to her house, she has Galway on." So this is probably music that the baby has already heard, if you think about it.

Kidman is expected to give birth in July; she has reportedly reserved a private room at a Nashville hospital.

I'm curious now about what else is in her hospital bag -- is it the usual stuff that the rest of us took when we went in to have the baby? I had lots of extra socks and lip balm, but that was pretty much it.

We'll be waiting for news of Nicole and Keith's baby.

Don't truly believe she is pregnant. I think they are going to adopt and this "pregnancy" is all for the media.

I sooo agree with you. I do not think she is pregnant either as this is suppose to be a "big" deal to her and she has hardly been seen anywhere these past 9 months. I also think you are right, they are adopting and will come out of the hospital like it is there baby and she had it. Isn't it wonderful how the prego props work outside a set.

Not that I really care, but, I think that she is pregnant. Many women at her age have difficulties conceiving and even carrying a child to full term. Maybe she has not been seen out and about because her doctor had put limitations on her activities.

I didn't realize that Nicole was due this month. I live in Nashville (where she is due to deliver) and when the local radio stations announced her pregnancy I thought they said September. I guess she must be getting ready to be induced and have the baby probably this week, as Keith is on tour with Kenny Chesney (July 5th and on then July 19th, 26th, and August 2nd and will be busy with that until mid September). I like Kenny Chesney, but I would be HIGHLY disappointed if I bought tickets to a show and Keith couldn't be there because Nicole was delivering. I mean don't get me wrong, he should be there for the birth of his baby. Does anyone know if she due to deliver in the next two weeks?

She has adopted two children prior to this, so why would it be such a big deal if she and Keith were adopting? Would think that if it all were for "publicity", seems that the adoption gig brings on much more attention than a birth.

Lighten up! Just a happy couple awaiting the birth of their baby... geeez!

It does sort of make me wonder....Tom and Nicole were unable to conceive, thus the adopted children. How then are they both natural parents now? Which one of them had the problem? But then again..who cares? Why am I even commenting? I should really get to work....

This is going to sound totally off the wall, but I have a physician friend who says that Nicole has AIS, and consequently has no ability to reproduce. People with AIS are genetically male with a blind ending vagina; they do however have testes (internal) and their testosterone levels are normal male levels so they tend to be of tall stature with prominent jaws (Jamie Lee Curtis is another example.)

Since they have what appears to be a vagina (externally), these patients are physiologically and physically female and are brought up as girls. The diagnosis is usually made at puberty when they cannot menstruate due to lack of a uterus, fallopian tubes, cervix or upper vagina! After it is diagnosed, they typically require estrogen replacement and are advised to have the internal testes removed, because they are at an increased risk of developing testicular cancer. In fact, my physician friend is a colleague of the doctor who removed Nicole's testes.

If this is indeed the case, it would explain why Nicole's two prior children are adopted and would also suggest that this 'pregnancy', for some reason, is a sham. I wonder if Keith wanted his own child and they have a pregnant surrogate somewhere?

The thing about Jamie Lee Curtis is such an urban legend. Marlene Dietrich, Greta Garbo, Mae West, and Grace Jones were also accused. It has been going on so long about Curtis even the doctors that teach about AIS don't know who started the rumors. There is always someone who knows someone who knows someone who says this is true. But, pregnancy depends on a woman's internal chemistry and how viable the sperm are. That's why you can be infertile with one person and fertile with another. Katie's environment is probably "gentler" for Tom and Keith's guys are probably strong enough for Nicole.

If indeed this is a fact and your physician friend did tell you this, then he is in violation of the Patient Confidientality act. Accreditated hospitals have in place HIPAA. It is a firing offense to divulge information that one is priveledged to know.Even if he assisted with the removal, he wouldn't be allowed to talk about it to others not involved with the procedure.

Just my two cents worth.

You people need to get a life. She is pregnant and I for one thinks it great. Some time it just takes the right person. Tom was not.

I believe she is pregnant. that shes just taking it easy. If you dont know about her history...She has had a few miscarriages before. Shes probably having a high risk pregnancy.
My daughter is pregnant and is having a high risk pregnancy. And with her pregnancy she has to take it easier then anyone who has a normal pregnancy.
And by that I mean she cant even go to the park for a picnic on the forth. So we are having everyone come over to my house.
You shouldnt say anything unless you can say something nice.
I am VERY HAPPY FOR THEM. Shes wanted a baby for a very long time.

A celebrity taking great steps to avoid the spotlight in an attemt to keep a personal experience from becomming a public event. So unheard of that the we, the public, can't help but jump to all kinds of weird conclusions.

There's no reason to assume she is not pregnant. Just because she and her former husband adopted does not mean she was/is not capable of conceiving and carrying a child.

As I recall, Tom and his first wife Mimi Rogers were unsuccessful in their attempts to conceive.

As far as why Nicole and Tom Cruise previously adopted two children even though both appear to have proven their ability to conceive natually in their current relationships may have less to do with an INability to have children together and more to do with their desire as a couple to adopt out of choice.

Besides, even if the adoptions were a result of an inability to conceive during their marriage, it seems reasonable to speculate that their current situations are the result of advancements in reproductive medicine in the years since then.

Why all the negative assumptions and critical viewpoints? Why is common sense often the last thing the curious public chooses to consider?
