How novel is this idea? A little matchbook is filled with pre-seeded matchtips that are ready to be planted. Four styles of the Matchstick Garden are available: Mixed Herbs, Wildflowers, Italian Garden and Mixed Greens. Each Matchstick Garden is 3" W x 2" H with 10 matchsticks, and the easy instructions are printed inside.

Love these - for the party favor for my son's 3rd birthday - he painted (stamped small circles) terracotta pots, we put about a pint of potting soil in a ziploc in the bottom of the pot, then tied several lollipops into a bouquet, taped the matchbook onto the largest lollipop, added a couple of toy insects, butterflies and worms and there you go - they were quite a hit and fun for us to do.
