Britney Spears and Kevin Federline settle custody suit

Britney's fans may be holding out hope for a career comeback, but she's been busy making a comeback of a different type. Last week, the custody case between Britney and ex-husband Kevin Federline was settled. While Kevin will retain primary physical custody, Britney will get visitation with the boys three days a week and two nights, or about 40% of the time. Kevin, on the other hand, will see a "slight" increase in child support payments. Anyone who watched Brit's breakdown a little less than a year ago will know that she's come a long way in her recovery process. Eight months ago, she lost custody of the boys and seemed unable to pull herself together to even fight for them, which, as a mom, was really frustrating and difficult to watch.
Britney's affairs are still under the control of her father, Jamie Spears, but she's slowly been making professional gains as well, with a cameo on How I Met Your Mother and work toward a new album. I think this is a major victory for her personally, and hopefully a sign that she's on her way to a more balanced and happy life.

My heart breaks for Britney Spears. From the time she gave birth to her oldest son, there wasn't a time she wasn't photographed without her baby in her arms. And there was never a doubt that she was a loving mother. When she gave birth to her younger son, there wasn't a time you didn't see her with both her sons. Rarely, if ever, did you see Dad K-Fed with those children.
Suddenly the marriage breaks up and K-Fed manipulates the system to take her babies from her so that he can get child support. She didn't have a mental illness!! She had her babies taken away from her!! She has been so mistreated by the legal system and the media it breaks my heart. Every time I see a photo of her, I see a Mother's agony in her eyes. And since getting the 'system' behind him - all he has to do is dangle her babies over her head and she falls down and does whatever he demands. His motivation? Of course, MONEY!! In the recent settlement he gets MORE MONEY!!??
The media is a large part of breaking Britney into pieces. If someone took my babies from me - babies I had loved and put to bed every night, taken with me everywhere day and night - I'd go crazy.
The media hasn't bothered to follow him around to see what kind of parent he has been!! The media could have prevented most of this. One of K's own friends said in an interview 'he never smokes pot when he is with the kids'. Are you kidding me? Just making that statement tells me that he certainly does do drugs when he has the kids. The friend wouldn't be defending him, because if it weren't true - it would never have come up.
The media rarely reports on his partying and antics - and there have been plenty - while he has full CUSTODY! If Britney had been given Custody - as she should have - the media would have reported and exploited her every move. They do now even when the children aren't in her custody.
In spite of everything that has happened to her, she has continued on, and even supported Jenny McCarthy's recent fund raiser - stepping outside her own problems to lend a hand to another mother. I was never a big fan of Britney Spears until I watched the persecution she has endured these past months.
The saying is that there is always a reason for things... some things don't seem to have a reason. But the strength I have seen Britney build to get herself through this must be the reason.
Shame on the media for being a part of creating such distress to those two little boys who want so badly to be with their Mom. I pray for Britney and her boys to be able to be together again. And if there is a responsible media person anywhere reading this, I challenge you to turn your cameras on K-Fed and show him to be the irresponsible parent - only a front to collect money - and help right this wrong - and get those babies back where they belong - with their Mother!

You forgot that he left his pegnant wife and their kids,just so he can be with Britney.Kevin is not the guy who cares for anything but money,and certainly he doesn't care for any of his kids.

Here come's immature Kevin Federline again, a man whose probably never worked a full-time job in his life discussing his divorce settlement.
