Teacher sued for calling teen "ugly"
Filed under: Teens, Health & Safety: Babies, Day Care & Education

A teenage girl is suing her teacher for calling her ugly. According to reports, the freshman was called ugly by her teacher and kicked in the rear end by her choir teacher .
The alleged altercation took place in front of Jade Ray's classmates. Ray says she was humiliated and is seeking $75,000 to make things right. Ray wanted to be a part of a group singing Valentine grams and asked for permission of her teacher to do so.
Teacher Heather Hargett 's response? Calling her ugly, a brat, and then kicking her in the rear and ordering her to leave the room. That doesn't sound like any of the teachers I ever had in school! The fourteen-year-old's claims are being taken seriously by school officials.

That teacher is obviously a horrible teacher and deserves to be sued for their actions. Being called "ugly" and then kicked is definatly embarassing and I feel for the girl who had this happen to her.
I can remember back to a time when I was sitting in class with a horrible substitute teacher who though was quite mean and annoying, I still showed her respect because she was my elder. I never acted out in school and for making one mistake ... A simple mistake that anyone else could've made- Using a the booklet to put the answers in, instead of the answer sheet, I was called stupid and many other things by the sub. teacher, and it was definatly embarassing.
Any teacher who can harm a young person this way should have their teaching degree taken away from them, because thats not teaching- thats abusing.
