Rebecca Romijn & Jerry O'Connell expecting twins!
Categories: Pregnancy & birth, Bump watch
In an almost cyclical pattern, just as the furor of one celebrity couple having twin babies, another announces they are expecting a double dose of joy.
This time the superstar parents are Rebecca Romijn of Victoria Secret and Sports Illustrated modeling fame and current regular on Ugly Betty, and Jerry O'Connell, swooned over by many since his Stand By Me days and more recently, his parody of Tom Cruise.
The expectant parents were married a year ago in a quiet ceremony in Los Angeles. This will be the first children for either of them, but if they have any questions about the care and raising of twins, they could ask :
- Geena Davis
- Marcia Gay Harden
- Julia Roberts
- Patrick Dempsey
- Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony
- Nancy Grace
- Marcia Cross
- Dennis Quaid
- Al Pacino
- Cheryl Tiegs
- Denzel Washington
- Patricia Richardson
- Chuck Norris
- Cybil Shepherd
- Donald Sutherland
- Jane Seymour
- Ray Romano
- Mel Gibson
- Corbin Bernsen
- Michael J. Fox
- Ron Howard
- Ingrid Bergman
- Lance Armstrong
- Brad Pitt or Angelina Jolie
Apparently there is something going on with that Hollywood water!

Can you say assisted fertility?

Surely, you are not suggesting that all of those women used fertility drugs? Many, many people have twins naturally. I have been a maternity nurse for over 11 years and, while there has been an increase in the birth of "multiples", some due to fertility "assistance", there are plenty of people with a genetic predisposition to releasing more than one egg at a time. I happen to have 12 year old twin boys... as did my maternal aunt, and my mother's maternal aunt, and none of us used fertility drugs.

I AM suggesting exactly that.
Examine the socio-economic factors and observe how many twin births have been seen in this community in the last five years. That many twin births in an extremely small community are not natural.
Still, I'm happy for them and wish them a happy and safe pregnancy and birth.

Yeah, I don't think it's got a whole lot to do with the water!
Whatever it is, Congrats to them.

I am the proud mother of twin boys and twin girls who are all yummy and in my eyes perfect. I am 41 and used IVF and this was my 5th and 7th ivf I agree it is nobody's business but I wish people were more honest. I tell everyone that my kids were all romantically conceived in a petri dish. If I can help one other woman with problems conceiving it is my pleasure. I resent someone like J Lo who tells people they are natural without even being asked. The odds of having a single baby not even twins gets harder after 35 and women should be aware.
Meanwhile as the mother of 4 kids under 5, I want to share my love of two things. Ziploc bags http://www.ziploc.com You should always have them on you! And Smartsole anti-cellulite insoles http://www.smartsole.com The insoles stimulate your circulation, are super comfortable and you burn more calories with every step!
