Jenna Jameson - pregnant porn star

Even if you have never watched an X-rated movie, chances are you have heard of Jenna Jameson. Considered to be the world's most famous porn star, Jameson began her exotic film career in 1993 to get back at a cheating boyfriend. Since then, she's become famous not only for having sex on camera, but for ClubJenna, the porn film company she founded in 2000.
Earlier this year, Jameson officially retired from 'acting' and is now moving in an entirely different direction with her life. A source says that Jameson and her boyfriend, Ultimate Fighting Champion Tito Ortiz, are expecting their first child. She and Ortiz have been dating since 2006 after meeting on MySpace.
Jameson hasn't confirmed the pregnancy yet, but has made no secret of her desire to be a mother. She suffered a miscarriage when married to Jay Grdina and later failed to get pregnant via in vitro fertilization.
Becoming a mother is a wonderful and life-changing event and I am happy for Jameson in that regard. But I have to say that I feel sorry for the child. At some point, that kid will have to be told about mommy's past. And then what? Does the child follow in the family business? Or does the kid rebel and run off to college to study accounting?

the goddess anna said...I feel sorry for you, thinking that it's right to judge a woman's past simply because it is not something you'd have done. It was legal, and she enjoyed it, and there is absolutely no reason for Jenna to be ashamed of her former career. I grew up knowing my grandmother was an exotic dancer, and I neither was ashamed nor wanted to follow in her footsteps. I loved her and moved on. I'm sure Jenna's child will love her as much as any child loves their mother: unconditionally.

Tony said...Actually my brother is on a local radio show here in seattle and she was a guest and she's actually stated she doesn't want her kids going into that life style. In fact her amount of sexual partners isn't as bad as everyone makes it out to be. In terms of men she's only maybe slept with ten and when in relationships she pretty much did girl-on-girl scenes unless the guy she was dating was a part of it. She knows she's going to have to deal with her past talking to her child but just because someone's done porn doesn't necessarily make her a bad person or an unfit mother.

ArmyWife6218 said...Did you forget about the houston 650 vid? She had to go to the hospital several times to get pumped. That counts as a partner if you let someone do that in you. Gross.
What she did in her past is disgusting to me, but I am proud of her for "retiring" and moving on. Porn to me is degrading to women. Thats my opinion and it won't be changed.

Jeni said...Who KNOWS! Maybe by the time her kid is old enough to know what's going on, everything mama did in her past MAY be considered ordinary, boring and normal. Who of you can remember when TV shows were not allowed to say the word PREGNANT without scandal? Just a photograph of a woman in a FULL PIECE bathing suit was risque back in 40's. The Jenna Jamesons of THOSE days had kids -- and no one suffered over their mothers being a "pin-up girl!" Beacuse bathing suit photos had already become mainstream by then. NO LONGER to be ashame of it.
Remember when a body piercing was considered SHOCKING! It really wasn't that long ago. With tomorrow's world of future technology, internet information, life-like computer games, cell phones acting as mini computers, WHAT WILL tomorrow bring? Today's taboos are tomorrow's normalcy.

and I agree- I bet when that kid is grown, her past will be considered tame. and.. You gotta love a girl who doesn't give a damn about what others think.

Lisa said...JJ is not the first porn star to have a child. There are others that even continued in their porn career after their kids were born. As long as the kids aren't in the porn or exposed to the porn, what's the problem?

Amy said...Lisa, I'm sorry, but are you really that naive? Do you really think that a porn star can have a kid and there will be no effects on the kids from their choice of career? Obviously the kids will eventually find out what Mommy does for a living. I don't think that seeing your parent engage in graphic sexual acts with complete strangers for public viewing is healthy for any child.

Lisa said...No, I'm not naive, however, I don't exactly think that the kids will be watching porn, either. Kids are generally not the intended audience for porn and unless the parents are so uninvolved that they don't know what their kids are watching, the kids won't be exposed.
JJ is retired from the industry and using her past as criteria as a fit parent now is a slippery slope. If everyone that made mistakes/poor choices in their past was told to not have kids because of it, we'd have negative population growth. Then again, I don't see consensual sex, whether filmed or otherwise, between consenting adults something a person should have to pay penance--especially not to the point where it determines if a person can have kids. As long as the kid isn't involved or exposed, it's none of anyone's business. Saying JJ can't be a good mom because of her past is like saying a reformed alcoholic shouldn't be one either.

Amy said...I can't believe what I'm reading...I'm not the most uptight and intolerant person, but to say that Jenna Jameson's past will someday be considered "normal" is crazy! I hope our morals are not going down the drain that fast in this society. To appear in pornographic films should hardly be considered normal or healthy behavior. The fact that Jenna now wants to have a child is extremely selfish. I know we all have pasts, but do you really think that her kids should have to deal with her past in such a public forum? I feel sorry for this kid who will one day grow up and be faced with his/her mom's irresponsible behavior. She is hardly mother material and should have more carefully considered her actions if she knew she wanted to be a mother someday. I'm sorry, but I don't think you can do whatever the hell you want when you're young and then just forget about it and go on to have a family. Unfortunately her actions can never be forgotten because they're on film for all to see...including her kids someday.

mandy said...Wait a minute...why are you guys deciding who should have kids and what kind of life these kids might have? There are many sex tapes out there (both celebrity and not)--do you think they should not have kids? Or what about people with disabilities, or gay parents, or interracial couples, or drug addicts, or fat people, or ugly people or really poor people? All I'm saying is all of these kids are gonna have a hard time "because of their parents", but it doesn't mean they shouldn't be born. All kids get bullied and picked on. All parents embarrass their kids. Too many kids are born to parents who don't want them, abandon them, abuse them, neglect them, ignore them. JJ seems like she really wants her kid. The problem is, when her kid is born, the parents of the other kids (read: YOU) are gonna plant the seed that "we don't play with them" or you will snub JJ at the daycare. It is sad, because kids wouldn't know about her past unless a grown-up tells them--or until they are teenagers. Leave her alone. I am praying she has a healthy, beautiful baby. And to the author--you took some low blows. You really oughtta be ashamed for mentioning her career choice as a family business. Shame on you. Are your kids gonna follow in your family business of being judgemental and hateful about the good news of someone different from you?

Nell Smith said...We still live in a double standard society. She can grow to love that child and the child to love her so that when the time comes for telling the child if she wants to it will not matter because love will take over, real love, not pornographic love. She is utterly stupid in trying to pay back a boyfriend who did her wrong, because by doing the same thing he did she claims herself as being of the same character. Nothing is gained. In the long run. When one's conscience catches up with them they will either try to justify what they have done or commit suicide because the filthy past was too much to bear. Again doing pornography she was exploited for a price, easily bought and easily sold.

Evie said...I agree with most here... who are you to judge someone or decide if they can or can not have children? She's beautiful, in love with the baby's father, rich, and very much wants to be a mother... that's a whole lot more to offer a child than a whole lot of people out there! So many people have children and abuse them and you have the audacity to criticize someone like Jenna? I admire her to be honest... no I would not want to be a porn star, but she has built an empire on her own as a woman in today's America... that's something to admire... you go girl!
