When I need to look polished, my two go-to items are tinted moisturizer and Burt's Bees Replenishing Lip Balm with Pomegranate. The first smooths the 'morning blotchies' that can sometimes happen, and the latter keeps my lips moist and healthy all day, with a hint of color. Add mascara, and I'm good all day.
And thanks for telling me that lipslicks are still around!! "Princess" used to be my all-time favorite, but many of the stores in my corner of the world have quit carrying the line. I just figured they'd discontinued. I'll start looking a little more.
