Drunk dad makes 10-year-old drive
The latest nominee for the Bad Dads Hall of Shame comes from Tennessee. A dad downed 15 beers and a few mixed drinks before it suddenly occurred to him that he should have a designated driver. Since his gal pal was high on her own mixture of four different kinds of pills, he turned to the next obvious (to him) choice ... his 10-year-old son.Unfortunately, the boy was no driving prodigy. He drove the van at speeds up to 90 mph before flipping it over. The police found the van upside down, the passengers -- which included two other children -- sitting in the middle of the road. The woman suffered a broken bone in her neck, one child had a broken hand, and the rest had cuts and bruises.
As if this story could be any more over the top, the man was arrested wearing a t-shirt that said, "Buy This Dad a Beer." What you won't see him wearing anytime soon is a t-shirt that says, "World's Greatest Dad."

My Dad taught me how to drive his 1952 Ford stick shift when I was 8 years old on the rural roads of Maine where you might see a car every hour or so if you were lucky!

I have to tell you I have never met a sweeter boy in my life (you know, besides my own). My son says he has bruises all over, but he is doing well over all. I just wonder, kids being kids if he will blame himself for his dad going to jail. To hell with his father, I am wondering what is going to happen to this poor little boy.
I'm sure he did what any other 10 year old boy would do if given the chance to drive-treat it like a video game. Bless his heart.

Now the kids are going to be in the system (in foster care or up for adoption) if no one else in there immediate family wants to care for them.

What affect would that have had on the kids? What if the mother didnt know what was going on. The only person to blame is the father and the bartender. If you see someone intoxicated, why continue serving him drinks. All money is not good money.
