Why we love these: Wool trousers are a worthwhile investment, particularly in colder climates; they are practical and elegant and incredibly versatile.

Wear them with: A cashmere sweater for the office -- and for the weekend, too. Or a thin wool sweater over a fitted tee.

Lovely to look at. To wear? Another story. Only one pair, the Land's End trouser had a traditional fit. There is a reason I wear Mom jeans. Nothing else fits or is day long comfortable. Enough of the lower waists!
