Jonas Bros get a stinky movie role

Categories: Teens & tweens, Celeb Kids, Media, That's Entertainment

jonas brothersOn Monday, I took my 8-year-old to see High School Musical 3: Senior Year and was considering writing up a little review for those of you who have yet to have the pleasure. But then I realized that it didn't really matter if the movie was good or bad -- if you've got a tween, you are probably going to see it anyway. I may write up a little something later, but for now I will just say this -- Zac Efron has finally figured out that looking anxious and pained in every scene isn't necessary. That by itself made this movie a lot easier to watch than the previous two.

Which brings us to Disney's latest crop of inexperienced but adorable actors -- The Jonas Brothers. With just a few shows left in their hugely successful tour, the talented trio are now setting their sights on the big screen. The curly-haired cuties are set to star in a film adaptation of the book series Walter the Farting Dog. Walter is an overweight dog with a severe gas problem. Sounds fun!

Kevin, Nick and Joe will play musician brothers who are helping to care for big Walter, who belongs to their dying aunt. Even little brother Frankie, the 8-year-old "Bonus Jonas", gets in on the action by playing their olfactory-challenged little brother who doesn't smell a thing.

When I told Ellie about this movie, she looked confused. Why would anyone want to see a movie about a farting dog? My sentiments exactly. The good news is that filming doesn't even begin until next spring. Maybe we will be over our Jonas Brothers infatuation by then.
