Earth Friendly wooden toys - Product Recall
Categories: Health & safety, Shopping & recalls
The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission has announced the recall of about 1,000 wooden toys made by Earth Friendly LLC, of Beaverton, Oregon. The toys have small parts that can detach and break apart, posing a choking hazard to young children. In addition, the size of the rattle handle violates voluntary rattle standards. The recall involves three different models of wooden toys - Moee the car (pictured), Cubby the stackable bear and the Bell rattle. For photos of all three, visit the CPSC Website. They are painted in glossy red, orange, green, red, black and yellow.
These were made in India and sold at toy specialty stores in Alaska, California, Colorado, Montana, Nevada, Oregon, and Washington from April 2008 through September 2008 for between $12 and $22 each.
If you have one of these toys, you should immediately take it away from your child and contact Earth Friendly to exchange or refund the product. You can reach them by calling (888) 360-6292 between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. PT Monday through Friday or by visiting their Web site.
