metal necklacesThe U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission has announced the recall of about 67,000 Best Friends Yin Yang Necklace Sets due to high levels of lead in the paint.

The necklaces were made in China and sold at Claire's stores nationwide from April 2007 through August 2008 for about $8 each.

The recall involves a set of two necklaces featuring silver-colored metal bead chains with lobster claw clasps. One of the necklaces has a pendant with the word "Best" attached to a black metal 'yin' symbol. The other necklace has a pendant with the word "Friends" attached to a white metal "yang" symbol.

If you have one of these necklace sets, you should immediately take it away from your child and return it to any Claire's store for a full refund. More more information, you can contact Claire's by calling (866) 859-9281 between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. ET Monday through Friday or by visiting their Web site.
